How we cut your film...
Wonderfilm’s video director edits film using a MacBook Pro 16.2 inch SB/16C CPU, 40C GPU, 128GB 4TB M3 MAX Chip powerhouse. Our film editor services include film editing & music video editing, sound design, and data management. Our post production coordinator creates a solid pipeline for post work including data management; which enables a smooth workflow. We are passionate about the detailed admin and prep so that we can be free creatively. Dailies from shoot will be managed and archived before editing process begins. We provide DIT (digital imagery technician) services to keep dailies organised. Wonderfilm edits your movies using DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro. We assess our clients’ needs based on varying post production budgets.
Colour Grading
We provide colour grading on all of our projects using DaVinci Resolve. A colour palette is discussed in the pre-production treatment stage to establish a direction. We work tirelessly to create a consistent look within each film project. Our editing work incorporates colour design to enhance a visual style. We use colour to create a fresh look and mood to suit our clients’ artistic intentions. All of our colour theory work on film is designed to evoke emotional responses in the audience and bring to life all of the on set collaboration with photography and production design. We work with closely with the Director of Photography (DOP) to perfect the aesthetic vision.
Cool VFX
We implement VFX composition into our clients’ work to enhance the overall magic. We bring our storylines to life through implementing VFX – from 3D Models to CGI environments. We have created bespoke VFX shots in-house. We also have access to top VFX artists in the industry such as Lead VFX Compositors, 3D Riggers, Matchmove Artists, DMP Artists, and Tracking Specialists who Lewis has worked with on major films and TV shows. We process plate shoot material captured on our VFX Array.
VFX Data Processing
We process on set VFX data such as HDRI photography, photogrammetry, textures, LiDAR scans, panos, and set ref using detailed data management systems that we design on FileMaker Pro. These tools help us streamline data organisation and name stitched assets. We can also organise data according to lighting conditions of the shoot. We stitch raw, bracketed HDRI photography captured on a DSLR – using PTGui. We can publish rendered lighting references for any VFX pipeline.Â
Sound Design
We love curating sound design by immersing sound effects, music, and beats using Logic Pro into the film edit. We have worked with top sound engineers and London studios to create soundtracks for films and music videos. At the early stages of the film editing process, we introduce sound and tempo to make the film cutting come to life. Understanding the cadence and musicality of the storyline builds a picture of the mood of each film project.
Design & Art
We can supply projects with graphic design assets such as movie posters, album art, photography, & social media content. We have also created websites, brochures, and presentations. We love designing compositions that suit your brand and artistic direction. All of the assets we deliver with your project are designed to make an impact and support the promotion of the film.
Data Management
We are dedicated to data management, ensuring the importance of well-organised and quickly accessible data. We have developed advanced FileMaker systems to manage and track data efficiently, enhancing productivity on set and in post production.
Lens Gridding
We manage lens gridding on film and TV shoots, compiling reports from lens grid tests. The grids are used during post production allowing us to correct lens distortions when integrating CG elements into a shot. During the lens gridding process, we pay close attention to the set up. This includes the dolly’s length, the floor’s flatness, light distribution, and the necessary focus pull or grain sample required by the VFX Supervisor.
