Wonderfilm Pictures supplies a complete VFX toolkit for accurate on-set reference and high-quality data capture — chrome and grey reference balls, colour charts, HDRI capture packages and our in-house 3-Way RED KOMODO-X VFX Array.
Our VFX balls are built as single spheres with a 50% polished chrome finish and 50% 18% grey, so both references can be captured by rotating the ball for camera rather than handling two separate items. They are available in 7″, 9″ and 11″ sizes, plus a custom 12.6cm half chrome, half grey sphere. Each hire includes lightweight handles and protective cases. These provide the reflection, lighting and exposure information a compositor needs to match CGI convincingly to live action.
For lighting environment capture we supply a complete Canon EOS R6 Mark II HDRI kit with Sigma 8mm circular fisheye, Fanotec Nodal Ninja 5 rotator, Manfrotto tripod and Calibrite ColorChecker — everything a VFX supervisor or data wrangler needs to gather spherical HDRIs efficiently on a busy set.
For background plate acquisition, our 3-Way RED KOMODO-X VFX Array captures 15,008 × 3240px stitched plates across a 160° field of view with 27.9% overlap between adjacent cameras. ZEISS CP.3 XD lenses supply extended lens data for distortion mapping and undistortion, and deliverables are prepared to the VFX vendor’s requested specification — so productions can acquire consistent, production-ready plates without outsourcing to a third-party specialist.

Yes. Most of our work takes place internationally, and we can arrange worldwide kit rental for our equipment, including the VFX Array rig.
The equipment is normally UK-based between jobs, but our rental planning is built around international shipping, so the kit can be supplied for shoots worldwide.
The standard array hire includes a technician to oversee the kit. We also have relationships with ACs who can run the rig, and our Ronin 2 array package can operate as a turnkey system for an operator.
We can process the captured array material once filming is complete and provide the requested deliverables in line with the VFX vendor’s specification.
Live stitching is not currently part of our service. Instead, we provide live playback via a Teradek Bolt 6 1500, so production can monitor all array camera feeds without overlap.
The ZEISS 21mm CP.3 XD provides approximately 65.5° horizontal and 37.5° vertical field of view on the RED KOMODO-X 6K sensor.
Yes. Our ZEISS lenses, including the 21mm lenses, output extended lens data that can be used in distortion mapping and undistortion workflows, including the ZEISS/Nuke plugin route.
