The Insta360 ONE R Twin Edition is a modular camera built around interchangeable lens mods. The Dual-Lens 360 Mod captures Super 5.7K spherical video at 5760 × 2880, while the 4K Wide Angle Mod shoots conventional footage up to 4K 60fps. Both share the same core and battery, so switching between them takes seconds on set.
On a professional shoot, the ONE R earns its place where a cine camera cannot go. Spherical capture is genuinely useful for set reference, location scouting and environment documentation — a 360 grab records the entire space in one take, and the material can be reframed later rather than reshot. It also works well as a witness or crash cam on stunt, vehicle and rigging work, where the risk of damage rules out putting a main body in position.
FlowState stabilisation delivers steady handheld footage without a gimbal, and the camera is IPX8 waterproof to 5m without a housing, so it can go into water, rain and dust that would stop a larger package. Manual exposure control extends to shutter speeds from 1/8000 to 120 seconds and ISO 100–3200, with white balance presets and LOG capture on the 360 mod for footage that grades alongside other material.
Files work through Insta360 Studio or the Adobe Premiere Pro plugin, so 360 footage drops into an edit without a separate stitching or transcoding stage.
