Our VFX Ball kits give compositors chrome and grey lighting reference from the set itself, which is what makes a CG vehicle sit in the plate rather than float on top of it. The RED KOMODO-X VFX Array captures 15K stitched plates across a 160° field of view with 27.9% overlap, suitable for driving sequences, set extension and virtual production backplates.

The array can be rigged to a tracking vehicle or gimbal, or flown in its 9.2kg drone configuration for aerial plates over the surrounding countryside and approved locations. It arrives as a turnkey build ready to shoot in under thirty minutes.
