Our reference balls are split between chrome and grey finishes. By turning the ball for the camera, you can capture both sides of the reference.
The rig captures a 160° FOV, with 27.9% FOV overlap built into the setup for dependable stitch alignment.
Additional array builds may be possible. Send the requirements to lewis@wonderfilmpictures.com and we can advise on a suitable 360 configuration.
Yes. We can provide kit hire anywhere in the world, including the VFX Array rig, and most of our work is international.
Our rental kit is based in the UK between jobs, but we organise logistics around the production so equipment can be sent anywhere in the world.
The rig is supplied with a technician as standard to supervise the equipment. We also know ACs who can run the rig, and the Ronin 2 array is built as a turnkey package.
Post-shoot array processing is available. We can prepare the material and supply deliverables to the specification set by the VFX vendor.
Live stitch is not currently offered. Instead, the rig supports live playback using a Teradek Bolt 6 1500, with feeds from all cameras visible without overlap.
Using the RED KOMODO-X 6K sensor, the ZEISS 21mm CP.3 XD provides around 65.5° horizontal and 37.5° vertical FOV.
The ZEISS CP.3 XD lenses provide extended lens data that can support distortion mapping and undistortion workflows. There is also a ZEISS/Nuke plugin workflow available.
