They are 50% chrome finish and 50% grey finish. The intended workflow is to rotate the ball in front of camera to capture the reference.
The expected array coverage is 160° FOV, supported by a 27.9% FOV overlap across the cameras.
A 360 camera array may be possible as a custom configuration. Contact lewis@wonderfilmpictures.com so we can review the requirements.
We can send VFX kit to productions globally. Around 90% of our work is international, and the array rig is available for worldwide hire.
Our equipment is not permanently based in the EU during down periods; it is based in the UK and shipped according to the production plan.
The Ronin 2 array is supplied as a fully turnkey system. The standard package includes a technician, and ACs can be brought in to manage the rig on set.
Array plate processing can be arranged after capture. The final deliverables can be supplied to the VFX vendor’s specification.
We do not currently provide a live stitched preview. We can stream live playback through a Teradek Bolt 6 1500 so all array cameras can be monitored without overlap.
For the ZEISS 21mm lenses, the expected FOV is about 65.5° horizontal and 37.5° vertical on RED KOMODO-X 6K.
Yes, ZEISS XD lens data is available from the 21mm CP.3 lenses and can support distortion mapping, undistortion, and ZEISS/Nuke plugin workflows.
